The Mountain

Verbier is nestled between the peaks of the Mont Fort and the Petit Combin renowned for its extensive and varied piste network and as a backcountry Mecca.

The resort sits at 1800 metres above sea level and the four valleys of Verbier, Nendaz, Bruson and Toumaz are rated as one of the top resorts in Europe. The lift network has 95 lift installations, over 400km of pistes and numerous itinerary runs that are patrolled for the more experienced skier as well as unlimited off-piste. With high altitude, plentiful snow-making capability and good snowfall Verbier is a snow sure destination.

Beginners

Verbier has a purpose built beginner area in the village called Les Esserts, this area is ideal for beginners and nervous skiers to gain confidence before moving onto the gentle runs of La Chaux and Savoleyre where your instructors will start to impart the greater knowledge. Once you are up and off there are many blues and reds to help hone your technique.

For the aspiring intermediate there are the motorway runs on Savoleyre and Tsoumaz.

Advanced

Verbier is a playground for the advanced skier, with the steeps of Mont Fort, the moguls of Tortin, and steeper areas such as  “Stairway” and “Rock Garden” only accessible by boot-hiking. Verbier is a Mecca for off-piste, free-ride and backcountry skiing. It hosts the Verbier Extreme on the front side of the Mont Gele and the Carlsberg High 5 ski competitions.
